Exeter Saracens - Club Captains Report - Jan.10
Well a very late but meaningful happy new year to you all. There has been a delay in news purely due to the lack of rugby over the past few Months.
Well on the playing side we are back in full flow following an impressive 64-0 win over PAO's on Saturday. Credit must be given to the team as they fielded many of their colts side for 1 st team debuts. The previous 2 weeks have seen impressive performances in defeating Hayle and narrowly losing out in a fierce encounter with Wellington . The loss to Wellington has pretty much now given them the chance to deservedly win the league. The 2 nd team has been ploughing along quite nicely with some fine results including a notable win over Ivybridge 3rds. Also it is great to see the colts playing regular rugby and I am confident it won't be long before they start stringing together a few wins.
It has been great to see a good number of supporters at the club over the last couple of weeks. With last week being the first game at our home pitch since 31 st October 2010 its great to see the interest and supporting of the clubs achievements this year hasn't gone a miss, that said we now have 4 away games on the trot including 2 games down in Cornwall and 2 in Plymouth. We will endeavour to do our best and bring home the 2 points from all 4 games which will give us a very exciting run in to the end of the season.
As for now, lets hope the weather god is on our side and that we can continue this fine season.
Thanks for now

Exeter Saracens - Club Captains Report - Nov.09
Good day all and welcome to another report form yours truly. As I write this on a gorgeous November evening I can imagine the front five smiling and the backs sat at home hoping the game is going to be called off!!
Two months on from my last report and I am pleased to say it is still good news. Although we suffered our 1st loss in the league this year (to a very well drilled Wellington team) we are still flying high in the league. We are currently in 2nd place with one game in hand over 3rd place Stithians, who we are yet to play. We are almost half way through the season and will hopefully still remain in the top two places when the new year comes. We have been pushed very close on a couple of occasions by Hayle and Liskeard & Looe but have shown that we are more then capable in this league as we came away with the victories.
The second team continue to improve under the captaincy of Ben Cowley and like the first team are currently sat in 2nd place in the merit table and looking odds on to remain there or even win the league. Even better news is that we are managing to put out a 3rd team on a regular basis. This has been a huge plus as with so many boys training it would not have been possible for everyone to play each week. The 3rds have been made up of a blend of good looking young lads and a few of the older Sarries boys who questionably are not quite as good looking, but that would depend on who you ask, me personally……….I am sat on the fence!
So tomorrow we face Saltash which we might as well arrange in a local swimming pool due to the weather. So if you are reading this report boys, grab your snorkels, wetsuits warm up your shoulders as think it could be like this for a few weeks.
Thanks for now

Exeter Saracens - Club Captains Report - Sept.09
Well, after gaining promotion from Devon 1 last year we have literally made the perfect start in the Cornwall/Devon league winning 4/4. As it stands after in the league we are sitting 3 rd in the table with only points difference separating the top 3 teams. We have put in some excellent performances including 2 very impressive wins over promotion contenders from last year Crediton and Bideford. Not only have we beaten 2 of the strongest teams in the league this year we have also managed something we couldn't last year in beating Teignmouth in a league fixture.
The 2nd team who also gained promotion last year made a fantastic start in putting 70+ points on Teignmouth 2's on the opening game of the season. Although we have marginally lost out on the last couple of performances the quality is undoubtedly there and it won't be long before another 70 pointer is on the cards.
These results have come from a huge amount of work, not only from the players, but from the coaching staff this year. We have had some great input from our regular coaches and also some fresh and exciting ideas from a couple new faces around the club, in particular Leigh Davies and Graham May. Along with the coaching we have also acquired some fantastic players which in turn have strengthened the club as a whole. We now have a regular 3 rd team which really shows how well the club is doing. Along with the player numbers increasing it appears we are attracting a bigger crowd on match days. This is turn is fantastic news for the club and I hope our performances continue at the high and entertaining level is has been so far and if it continues back to back promotions are not out of the question!!
Until next month keep supporting us and will do our best to please you!!!
Thanks for reading.

Exeter Saracens Finish on a Triumphant High
As a club, Sarries have done so well this season on the field and all of the hard work in gaining promotion from Devon1 has been topped by claiming the Devon RFU Junior Cup in a well anticipated match against Torrington at Exhibition Fields.
Also promoted were the 2ndXV who had a tremendous season only loosing one match in the Merit Table Competition.
Congratulations to all of the players, coaching staff, back room offiicials and the supporters.
