U9's - Match Report (11/10/09)
Topsham - Home (Draw)

Game1 - Exeter Saracens ( 20-v-20) Topsham
Saracens first foray into contact rugby saw them draw two very close matches. Saracens were slow to start and soon found themselves 3 tries down. But some determined running saw Ethan Maltby break the dead-lock with a power packed effort. After the break Saracens started to find their feet and take opportunities with Aiden Vaughan-Ryall putting in some committed tackling and Rhys Mullins scoring a push over try aided by the whole team.

Game2 - Exeter Saracens ( 15-v-15) Topsham
Saracens were again slow to start in the second game and similarly to the first found themselves 2 tries down after a few minutes. Strong defence made sure that Topsham didn't run away with it and Toby Bignal's zigzagging run saw him cross to keep Saracens in contention. A well worked combination between Lewis Warren and Luke Herbert added a further try at which point Saracens put everything into defence to keep the scores level until the final whistle.
