Tiverton - Home (Won 34-0)
Exeter Saracens progressed to the knock out stages of the Landscape League on Sunday when they beat a spirited Tiverton side 34-0 on Sunday. This is the first time that a Sarries side has made it to this stage of the League competition for several years.
Sarries had several players unavailable but fielded a competitive team non the less. They opened the scoring after 3 minutes when MattLloyd slotted over a penalty from in front of the posts. Sarries scored again shortly afterwards when Lewis Watts scored a fine try following some hard running by Matt Perry and some fine recycling of the ball. Lloyd added the conversion. It was looking as though Lloyd would dominate the score board when he scored another try again for the home side to make it 15-0 at half time.
Saracens continued to dominate the second half with their forward winning plenty of ball through James Westlake and Ben King at the line out and their scrum dominating the tight. Matt Lloyd scored again in the second half and further tries followed when Watts scored twice and Sam Gibbins kicked the conversion to make the final score 34-0
Although out played by their hosts Tiverton stuck to the task and never gave up the game. Sarries man of the match was Matt Perry for a fine all round performance
Sarries now look forward to a home semi final match against opponents fro the North Devon side of the Landscape League and go in to their final League game in 2 weeks times against Exeter Chiefs looking to win all their league fixtures
