U12's - Match Report (21/02/10)
Cullompton - Away (Lost - 40-7)

Sarries started the game very strongly, with the forwards, led by Callum Ditchburn, driving hard into Cullompton territory. The early exchanges were pretty even with the home side struggling to exert their usual forward dominance. This was largely due to some excellent tackling from the whole Sarries side, allowing their opponents no time to settle on the ball. The home side did eventually manage to breakthrough the determined Sarries defence despite the best effort of Ryan Collins and Shey McNiffe trying to hold them up. The Cullompton forwards followed this up with another converted score soon afterwards. The away were not about to let this game get away from them though and Jack Clark released Arthur Prideaux who ran in from 40 yards out, crashing through the final defender to score in the corner. Clark converted. Unfortunately for the Sarries, the Cully scrum half, nipped through a gap to score right on half time.
Half-time 19 - 7.

The second half saw the Cully pack exert a bit more pressure on the away team and this allowed the home team to enjoy much more possession. Sarries half time subs Billy Holwill and Connor Cudmore continued the good forward work, rucking strongly to help keep the Sarries in the game. Eventually, the pressure began to tell on a tiring Sarries unit and Cullompton scored four second half tries. However, it was a much improved team performance from the Saracens ensuring that a very strong Cullompton side had to work hard for their victory.
Full-time 47- 7.
