U10's - Match Report (18/10/09)
Paignton - Home (Won)

Game1 - Exeter Saracens U10's (10 -v- 10) Paignton U10's
A draw is a fair result from a closely fought game. Sarries started well as Alexei Holmes picked up from a ruck and ran over to score.
When Bradley White ran through the opposition soon after Sarries looked dominant. However, Paignton came back and drove Sarries over the line to score. After the interval both sides defended well. Cody Ware played well for Sarries, making some important tackles. Eventually Paignton ran in a second good try. A late run from Tyler  Hickman was denied points by a foot in touch, leaving both sides pleased to have held the game to a draw.

Game2 - Exeter Saracens U10's (10 -v- 5) Paignton U10's
In a side with several newcomers Sarries were quickly wrong footed as Paignton's greater experience saw them gain an early try from a scrum. Once again Sarries weakness in scrums and lineouts saw Paignton winning the ball from set pieces, giving Sarries hard work to do defensively. It is a tribute to Sarries tackling skills that Paignton were unable to advance their score. Nathan Smeath proved dangerous on the break and almost scored on the half time whistle. Sarries came back in fighting form after the interval. Jimmy Knight had two good runs, one of which resulted in a fine try and a deserved Man of the Match award. Edward Clemo-Crosby also scored and he and Jed Wright paired well in the loose. This was a promising performance with new players showing great potential.
