U15's Girls - Match Report (11/10/09)
Newquay (At Tavistock) - Away (Won 7-34)

Sarries youngsters played some good controlled rugby in some very difficult conditions at Tavistock RFC. The constant drizzle turned the ball into a bar of soap but their confidence in passing and going forward paid off as they moved the ball around really well from the the start. Paige Palmer fielded the high kick off made some ground and fed Lucy Nye who cut straight through to score.Sarries forwards won good ruck ball to give scrum half Beth Griffiths a good platform from which Sarries were able to launch attack after attack. The combined Cornish side put in some good tackles but Sarries were always on hand to win the ball at the breakdown. Lucy Nye scored a second try this time beating everyone on the wide outside. Megan Coombes showed good strength to force her way over under the posts. Sarries were able to introduce four of their new players into the fray and all of them showed up well on their debuts. Inthe second half it was the turn of centre Amy Large to show some good footwork and a great turn of speed to score three tries. Beth Griffiths added two conversions.
