U15's Girls - Match Report (20/09/09)
Newquay - Home (Won 38-22)

Sarries lent the vistors a couple of players to balance up the sides and got off to a cracking start with Lucy Nye scoring straight from the kick off. To be fair to Newquay this was the first time many of them had played a game of rugby and also on a full sized pitch but as the game went on they slowly found their feet and got to grips with what they were doing and started to make a game of it coming back strongly in the second half. Tanith Price did well in what was her first ever game for Sarries and Megan Coombes marked her debut with a well taken try and some very strong runs. Gabi Loram, Shannon Panton, Kayley Pyatt and Molly Tregedeon all made excellent contributions as they stepped out from the shadows of girls who have moved up to u18.
Skipper Beth Griffiths had a strong game scoring a try and kicking 3 conversion. Abbie Fleming and Paige Palmer also ran themselves into the ground for the cause. However the afternoon belonged to Lucy Nye who carried on where she left off last season by scoring four tries as she just left defenders for dead with her blistering pace and she also kicked a conversion. Player of the match went to Gabi Loram for some strong runs, good passing and a couple of really good tackles.
