This billed league match had to be awarded as a walkover to Sarries as the hosts Cullompton could not raise the bare minimum of twelve players. Instead Sarries lent the hosts four players in each half so that a training game could be played and thus give all a run out after the Christmas shutdown.
Sarries were convincing winners 0-59 with tries from Jack Rouse, Fionn Wright (x2), Captain Theo Thomson (x2), Kai Little (x3), Jared Cooper (x2)and Steven Gill. Two successful kicks from James Tancock completed the tally.
Praise indeed should go to the total of eight Sarries players who unselfishly pulled on opposition colours to ensure that the match went ahead and played with full venom and committment against their own team mates. The players, Kai Little, Hallum Curran, Steven Gill, Ross Watts, Tom Griffiths, Joe Street, Adam Tregedeon and George Wheatley were the stars of the day as far as this was concerned.
